It’s been about a month now since Ive had my Body Rider Magnetic elliptical and I can guarantee that it will get you drenched in sweat within the hour. It does provide a kick-ass workout!
Not only does it provide an exceptional workout but it’s also easy on the joints. It’s almost hard to believe that I didnt have to shell out loads of money on an expensive elliptical trainer in order to get such an awesome workout.
The Body Rider (BR2500) elliptical has 8 levels of magnetic resistance which gives me a great variety of workouts and I never ever get bored. The display console for distance, time, calories, speed etc is pretty big and very easy to read. These are the some of the positive features of the elliptical, however there are a few negatives too.
To begin with, the Magnetic elliptical is a wee bit noisy. It’s not distractingly noisy but it’s not whisper- quiet either. Do not place it in the bedroom, lest you disturb someone’s sleep. However, it’s exactly what you should expect from a less than $200 elliptical. If you want a whisper-quiet one, be prepared to shell out more money.
Secondly, despite the BR2500 Magnetic trainer being delivered securely packed, I noticed that the plastic rear case for the pedals had a crack on it. However, it’s just for aesthetic purpose and not something that would affect the performance or stability of the trainer. So, for me it’s not a big deal.
Thirdly, the unit needs to be put-together from scratch. Assembly could take anywhere between 2-3 hours depending on your skill level on my other blog I detail this further coryklinge.com – bowflex pr1000 review. It is not difficult as such, however if you don’t have a certain degree of mechanical aptitude, then it may be challenging. Some steps do require assistance, so having a second pair of hands would help.
Lastly, I wouldnt trust the numbers displayed in the console unit as it does not ask for one’s age, weight, gender etc before starting the workout. Therefore, on what basis could the calories burnt be accurate? Anyway, you can get a rough estimate after regular use and despite the wrong readings; it helps to keep focus and motivation on your treadmill search such as on my other bowflex review here coryklinge.com – bowflex m5 review.
Apart from this, there really isnt anything wrong with this budget elliptical. The price-tag is affordable, however if durability is your concern then you should look for a more expensive but solidly-built elliptical trainer.
On the other hand, if you despise going to the gym and want to exercise in the privacy and comfort of your own house without spending a ton of money, them buy the Body Rider Magnetic Elliptical Trainer! It is sure to keep you huffing and puffing for a long time to come!
